  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in a round cake pan and add brown sugar to it.
  3. Arrange pear slices over the brown sugar mixture.
  4. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. In another bowl, beat granulated sugar and eggs until fluffy.
  6. Add milk and vanilla to the egg mixture and mix well.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  8. Pour the batter over the pears in the pan.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before inverting onto a plate.
