- 1 standing rib roast (5–7 lbs)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh rosemary (for seasoning)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Season the rib roast generously with salt and black pepper.
- Rub the roast with minced garlic and olive oil.
- Place fresh rosemary on top of the roast.
- Put the roast in the oven and roast for 15 minutes.
- Reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness.
- Let the roast rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking.
- Adjust cooking time based on the size of the roast.
- Allow the roast to come to room temperature before cooking.
