  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in ice water until dough forms.
  5. Roll out half the dough and place it in a pie pan.
  6. Spread strawberry jam over the crust.
  7. Layer sliced strawberries on top of the jam.
  8. Roll out the remaining dough and cover the pie.
  9. Seal edges and cut slits in the top crust.
  10. Brush with beaten egg and milk.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  12. Let cool before serving.
