Ingrédients

  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix strawberries with sugar and let sit for 30 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  5. Add flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture. Mix until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into a greased cake pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
  8. Allow cake to cool, then slice in half horizontally.
  9. Whip the cream with vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  10. Layer strawberries and whipped cream between the cake layers.
  11. Top with more strawberries and cream.
