Description
Stuffed turkey for Thanksgiving is a classic dish that brings families together.

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 cups bread cubes
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon dried sage
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and celery until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Gradually add chicken broth until the stuffing is moist but not soggy.
- Stuff the turkey cavity with the mixture.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for about 3-4 hours, removing foil for the last hour to brown the skin.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- You can prepare the stuffing a day ahead.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
