A delicious sweet potato dish perfect for Thanksgiving.

- 4 medium sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup marshmallows (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pierce sweet potatoes with a fork and bake for 45 minutes.
- Let cool, then peel and mash in a bowl.
- Add brown sugar, butter, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well.
- Transfer to a baking dish and top with marshmallows if desired.
- Bake for an additional 20 minutes until heated through and marshmallows are golden.
Notes
- Can substitute brown sugar with maple syrup.
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Great as a side dish for turkey.
