  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in ice water until dough forms.
  5. Roll out half the dough and place in a pie pan.
  6. In another bowl, mix apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
  7. Pour apple mixture into the crust.
  8. Roll out the remaining dough and cover the pie.
  9. Seal and cut slits in the top crust.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F, then reduce to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 35-45 minutes.
