A creamy and cheesy potato dish perfect for Thanksgiving.
Ingrédients

- 2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of sour cream
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/4 cup of butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup of green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil the diced potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add the melted butter, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth.
- Stir in half of the cheddar cheese and green onions.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
- You can use different types of cheese for variation.
- Feel free to add bacon bits for extra flavor.
- This dish can be prepared a day in advance and baked before serving.
