A delicious and easy-to-make Thanksgiving chicken recipe.

- 1 whole chicken (4–5 lbs)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 lemon, halved
- 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 onion, quartered
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Rub olive oil all over the chicken.
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Stuff the cavity with lemon halves, rosemary, thyme, and onion.
- Place the chicken in a roasting pan.
- Roast for 1 hour and 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to your preference.
- Serve with your favorite side dishes.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
