Description
A classic Thanksgiving dinner featuring turkey, stuffing, and sides.

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 pounds)
- 2 cups stuffing mix
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 cups green bean casserole
- 1 cup cranberry sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the stuffing by sautéing onion and celery in butter.
- Add the stuffing mix, chicken broth, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with the prepared stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours, removing the foil for the last 30 minutes.
- Prepare mashed potatoes and green bean casserole while the turkey cooks.
- Once cooked, let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Serve with cranberry sauce.
Notes
- Make sure the turkey is fully thawed before cooking.
- You can prepare the stuffing a day in advance.
- Keep an eye on the turkey to avoid overcooking.
