A flavorful southern-style dressing perfect for Thanksgiving.

- 1 loaf of cornbread, crumbled
- 1 cup of celery, diced
- 1 cup of onion, diced
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon of sage
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté celery and onion until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine crumbled cornbread, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Slowly add chicken broth until the mixture is moist but not soggy.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown on top.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cooked sausage or nuts.
- You can prepare the dressing a day in advance and bake it on Thanksgiving.
