A perfect Thanksgiving meal for a large group.
Ingrédients
- Turkey: 15 lbs
- Butter: 1 cup
- Salt: 2 tablespoons
- Pepper: 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder: 1 tablespoon
- Onion powder: 1 tablespoon
- Fresh rosemary: 3 sprigs
- Fresh thyme: 3 sprigs
- Stuffing: 2 boxes
- Green beans: 2 lbs
- Mashed potatoes: 5 lbs
- Cranberry sauce: 2 cans
- Pumpkin pie: 2
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Place rosemary and thyme inside the turkey cavity.
- Stuff the turkey with stuffing.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- While the turkey cooks, steam green beans until tender.
- Boil potatoes, mash them, and add butter and salt to taste.
- Serve cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie as sides.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 30 minutes before carving.
- Prepare sides a day in advance for convenience.
