- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Trim the ends of the green beans.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
- Add the green beans and cook for 5 minutes.
- Drain and immediately place in ice water to stop cooking.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the green beans, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes.
- Add almonds and lemon juice. Cook for 2 more minutes.
- Serve warm.

- Use fresh green beans for the best flavor.
- You can substitute almonds with walnuts if preferred.
