- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon sage
- 1 tablespoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, sauté onion and celery in melted butter until soft.
- In a bowl, combine bread crumbs, sautéed vegetables, chicken broth, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with the mixture and place it in a roasting pan.
- Roast the turkey for about 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.

- Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
- Brining the turkey overnight can enhance flavor.
- Save the turkey drippings for gravy.
