Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and celery until soft.
  4. Add bread crumbs, salt, pepper, sage, and thyme; mix well.
  5. Stuff the turkey with the bread mixture.
  6. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  7. Roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, basting occasionally.
  8. Remove foil in the last 30 minutes for a crispy skin.
  9. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  10. Let the turkey rest before carving.
