  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon sage
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 3 cups stuffing mixture

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and rinsing it under cold water.
  3. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
  4. In a bowl, mix the butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and sage.
  5. Rub the butter mixture under the skin and over the turkey.
  6. Stuff the cavity with lemon, onion, and stuffing mixture.
  7. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour vegetable broth into the pan.
  8. Cover the turkey with foil and roast for 2-3 hours.
  9. Remove the foil and roast for an additional 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  • Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
