Description
A classic Thanksgiving pumpkin pie made with a smooth pumpkin filling and a flaky crust.

- 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, mix pumpkin puree, heavy cream, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Add cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the filling into the pie crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh pumpkin for better flavor.
- Serve with whipped cream.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
