  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
  3. Rub the softened butter all over the turkey.
  4. Season the turkey with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
  5. Stuff the cavity with onion, carrots, and celery.
  6. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth around it.
  7. Cover the turkey with foil and roast for 2.5 hours.
  8. Remove the foil and roast for an additional hour or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  9. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
