Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing butter under the skin and seasoning it.
- Stuff the turkey with chopped garlic, onion, celery, and carrots.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Bake for 2-3 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- In a saucepan, prepare gravy by melting butter, adding flour, and whisking in chicken broth.
- Cook green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Peel and chop potatoes, then boil until tender.
- Drain potatoes and mash with heavy cream and cheddar cheese.
- Serve turkey with gravy, green beans, and mashed potatoes.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Use fresh herbs for better flavor.
