Ingrédients

- 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups diced onion
- 2 cups diced celery
- 2 cups diced carrots
- 4 cups bread cubes
- 1 tablespoon dried sage
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a large pot, melt butter and sauté onions, celery, and carrots until soft.
- Stir in bread cubes, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken broth and mix well to combine.
- Stuff turkey with the mixture.
- Place turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, basting every hour.
- Remove foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the skin.
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness (165°F).
- Let leftovers cool before storing.
