- 5 pounds of potatoes
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced

- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 cup of fresh chives, chopped
Instructions
- Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks.
- Boil the potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add the butter, garlic, salt, and pepper to the potatoes.
- Mash the potatoes until smooth.
- Stir in the heavy cream until combined.
- Garnish with fresh chives before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute half and half for heavy cream.
- You can add sour cream for extra tanginess.
