- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons meringue powder
- 1/2 cup water (for icing)
- Food coloring (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix until combined.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into shapes.
- Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cookies cool completely before decorating.
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water to make icing.
- Add food coloring and decorate cooled cookies.
