Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, water, and sourdough starter in a bowl.
  2. Add salt and sugar, and knead the dough until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise for 4 hours, folding every hour.
  4. Shape the dough and place it in a proofing basket.
  5. Proof for 2 hours.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  7. Score the top of the dough and place it in the oven.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
