  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups stuffing
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Remove the turkey giblets and pat the turkey dry.
  3. Rub the butter all over the turkey.
  4. Season the turkey with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Stuff the turkey with stuffing.
  6. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour chicken broth over it.
  7. Cover with foil and roast for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  8. Remove the foil and roast for an additional 30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
  10. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.

Notes

  • Make sure to let the turkey thaw completely if frozen.
  • You can use any stuffing recipe you prefer.
  • Save the drippings for gravy.
