A delicious Thanksgiving yams recipe featuring sweet yams baked with a sweet topping.

- 4 large sweet yams, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil yams in a pot of water for 15 minutes until tender.
- Drain yams and place them in a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Pour the mixture over the yams and stir gently to coat.
- Top with mini marshmallows.
- Bake for 25 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown.
Notes
- Can use regular potatoes if yams are unavailable.
- Adjust sugar according to your taste.
- For a crunchy topping, add pecans or walnuts.
