- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add onions and bell pepper, cook until softened.
- Stir in garlic, chili powder, and cumin; cook for 1 minute.
- Add kidney beans, black beans, and diced tomatoes to the pot.
- Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with salt and pepper before serving.
Notes
- Top with cheese or sour cream if desired.
- Chili can be made ahead and tastes better the next day.
