  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon dried sage
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • Fresh herbs for stuffing (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Remove the turkey from the packaging and pat it dry with paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix the butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, and sage.
  4. Rub the butter mixture all over the turkey, including under the skin.
  5. Stuff the cavity with onion, carrots, celery, and fresh herbs if using.
  6. Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan.
  7. Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.
  8. Cover the turkey loosely with aluminum foil.
  9. Roast the turkey for about 13-15 minutes per pound.

  11. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C) in the thickest part.
  12. Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
