Description
A classic Thanksgiving dinner featuring traditional dishes.
Ingrédients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Stuffing – 1 box or homemade
- Mashed Potatoes – 5 lbs
- Gravy – 4 cups
- Cranberry Sauce – 1 can or homemade
- Green Beans – 1 lb
- Sweet Potatoes – 3 lbs
- Pumpkin Pie – 1
- Butter – 1 cup
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F.
- Prepare the turkey by seasoning it with salt and pepper.
- Stuff the turkey with stuffing.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover it.
- Roast the turkey for 3-4 hours, basting occasionally.
- While the turkey is cooking, peel and boil the potatoes until tender.
- Drain the potatoes and mash with butter, salt, and pepper.
- Prepare the green beans by steaming them until tender.
- Make the gravy from the turkey drippings.
- Serve everything hot, including cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie for dessert.
Notes
- Ensure the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- You can make the stuffing ahead of time.
