Ingrédients
- Turkey – 1 whole (12-14 lbs)
- Butter – 1 cup, softened
- Salt – 2 tablespoons
- Pepper – 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder – 1 teaspoon
- Thyme – 1 teaspoon
- Rosemary – 1 teaspoon
- Sage – 1 teaspoon
- Stuffing mix – 1 box
- Chicken broth – 2 cups
- Green beans – 1 lb
- Cranberry sauce – 1 can
- Pumpkin pie – 1 (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, and sage.
- Stuff the turkey with stuffing mix and secure the opening.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and add chicken broth to the bottom.
- Cover the turkey with foil and roast for 3-4 hours, basting every hour.
- Remove the foil for the last hour to brown the skin.
- Cook green beans in boiling water for 5-7 minutes.
- Serve turkey with cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Prepare the stuffing separately if desired.
