A guide to preparing a delicious Traeger smoked turkey for Thanksgiving.

- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
- 4 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat your Traeger grill to 225°F.
- Rinse the turkey and pat it dry.
- Rub olive oil all over the turkey.
- Mix the spices and apply evenly on the turkey.
- Place the turkey on the grill and insert a meat thermometer.
- Smoke the turkey until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove the turkey and let it rest for 30 minutes before carving.
Notes
- Brining the turkey overnight can enhance flavor.
- Use applewood or hickory pellets for a rich flavor.
- Monitor the temperature closely to avoid overcooking.
