Description
A classic dessert made with layers of sponge cake, custard, fruit, and whipped cream.
Ingrédients

- 1 pound sponge cake
- 2 cups custard
- 2 cups mixed berries
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/2 cup sherry (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the sponge cake into cubes.
- Layer half of the sponge cake in a large glass bowl.
- Drizzle sherry over the sponge cake if using.
- Add a layer of custard over the sponge cake.
- Add a layer of mixed berries on top of the custard.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Top with whipped cream.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use seasonal fruits for better flavor.
- Can be made a day in advance.
- Adjust sweetness of custard as needed.
