Instructions

  1. Layer half of the sponge cake in a large trifle dish.
  2. Drizzle half of the sherry or juice over the cake.
  3. Add half of the custard over the cake.
  4. Add half of the mixed berries.
  5. Layer half of the whipped cream on top.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
