Description

- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/2 cup sherry (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the sponge cake into cubes.
- Layer half of the cake in a large trifle dish.
- Pour sherry over the cake if using.
- Add a layer of mixed berries.
- Add a layer of custard.
- Add a layer of whipped cream.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- You can use any combination of fruits.
- For a non-alcoholic version, skip the sherry.
- Make it a day ahead for best flavor.
