Description

A rich and decadent turtle caramel cake with layers of chocolate, caramel, and pecans.


Ingrédients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
  5. Stir in boiling water until combined.
  6. Divide the batter between the prepared pans.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cakes cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans.
  9. Once cooled, drizzle caramel sauce and sprinkle pecans between the layers and on top.
