Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

- Whisk until mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in egg yolks and vanilla extract.
- Allow the custard to cool.
- Assemble the squares by placing custard between two pastry layers.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
