Ingrédients

- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups peeled and chopped apples

- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, butter, and sugar until crumbly.
- Add sour cream and vanilla; mix to form a dough.
- Roll out the dough and place it on a baking sheet.
- In another bowl, combine apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- Spoon the apple mixture onto the center of the dough.
- Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges.
- Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar with water to create icing and drizzle over the cooled kringle.
Notes
- Use tart apples for better flavor.
- Allow the kringle to cool before icing.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
