Ingrédients

- 2 cups black eyed peas, cooked
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mash the cooked black eyed peas.
- Add breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper, parsley, and egg.
- Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
- These patties can be baked for a healthier option.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
