  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Bring to a boil without stirring.
  4. Cook until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and food coloring.
  6. Pour the mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then cut into pieces.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
