Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- Add the barbecue sauce, diced onion, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir to combine all the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
- Serve on buns or with sides of your choice.
Notes
- This dish pairs well with coleslaw.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
- For extra heat, add chili powder.
