Make adorable sushi for Valentine’s Day.


Ingrédients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 sheets nori
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear.
  2. Combine rice and water in a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover. Cook for 20 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat until dissolved.
  4. Once rice is cooked, let it cool slightly and mix in the vinegar mixture.
  5. Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat. Spread a thin layer of rice on top.
  6. Arrange cucumber, carrot, and avocado in a line on the rice.
  7. Roll the sushi tightly using the mat. Slice into pieces.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds.
