Ingrédients

- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons meringue powder
- 6 tablespoons water
- Food coloring (various colors)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light.
- Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add flour mixture, stirring until combined.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into flower shapes.
- Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Let cookies cool completely.
- In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water for royal icing.
- Divide icing and color as desired.
- Decorate cookies with icing once they are completely cooled.
