Description
A fun and festive football piñata cake for sports-themed celebrations.
Ingrédients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup chocolate candies (for filling)
- 3 cups buttercream frosting
- Green food coloring (for decoration)
- Black and white fondant (for football details)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Stir in boiling water until well combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut out a circle from the center of one cake layer.
- Fill the hole with chocolate candies.
- Place the second layer on top.
- Cover the entire cake with buttercream frosting.
- Color some frosting green and decorate the top to resemble a football field.
- Use fondant to create football details and place on the cake.
