Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar.
  4. Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  6. Knead the dough until smooth and chill for 30 minutes.
  7. Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Place the shapes on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Let them cool before decorating with royal icing.
