- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Red and blue food coloring
- Royal icing for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Divide the dough and add red and blue food coloring to create lobster colors.
- Roll out the dough and cut into lobster shapes.
- Place cookies on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool and decorate with royal icing.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Use toothpicks for fine details in icing.
- Adjust food coloring for desired shade.
