  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Rub olive oil all over the prime rib.
  3. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and rosemary in a bowl.
  4. Coat the roast with the spice mixture.
  5. Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
  6. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Reduce the temperature to 325°F (160°C) and cook for about 1.5 to 2 hours.
  8. Check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should be 130°F (54°C).
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
