A delightful red and white Valentine’s cake perfect for celebrating love.
Ingrédients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup red food coloring
- 1 cup white frosting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and sugar.
- Add softened butter and milk, then mix until smooth.
- Stir in eggs and vanilla extract.
- Divide the batter into two bowls. Add red food coloring to one bowl.
- Pour the red batter into one pan and the white batter into the other.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans.
- Layer the cakes with white frosting in between and around the sides.
Notes
- Use gel food coloring for a richer red color.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
- Decorate with additional red and white sprinkles if desired.
