Crispy and delicious southern fried corn fritters, perfect as a snack or side dish.
Ingrédients

- 1 cup corn kernels
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine corn kernels, flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Fold in chopped green onions.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
Notes
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
- Leftover fritters can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
