- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, chopped
- 2 cups whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and baking powder.
- Add softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
- Fold in chopped strawberries.
- Pour batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans.
- Layer cakes with whipped cream in between and on top.
- Garnish with additional strawberries.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use vanilla bean instead of extract.
- Ensure strawberries are fresh for best taste.
