Ingrédients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 4 sheets nori
  • 1/2 pound fresh tuna, diced
  • Soy sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Combine rice and water in a pot; bring to a boil.
  3. Cover and reduce heat; simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Mix vinegar, sugar, and salt in a bowl until dissolved.
  5. Stir the vinegar mixture into the cooked rice; let cool.
  6. Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat.
  7. Spread a layer of sushi rice on nori, leaving a border.
  8. Add avocado, cucumber, and tuna in the center.
  9. Roll tightly into a log shape.
  10. Use a heart-shaped mold to cut the roll into heart shapes.
  11. Serve with soy sauce.
