Description

A romantic sushi platter perfect for Valentine’s Day.


Ingrédients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 sheets nori (seaweed)
  • 1/2 pound fresh tuna, sliced
  • 1/2 pound fresh salmon, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • Wasabi, for serving
  • Soy sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse sushi rice under cold water until water runs clear.
  2. Combine rice and water in a pot. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a bowl until dissolved.
  4. Once rice is cooked, transfer to a large bowl and gently fold in vinegar mixture.
  5. Let rice cool to room temperature.
  6. Place a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat.
  7. Spread a thin layer of rice over nori, leaving a border at the top.
  8. Arrange tuna, salmon, avocado, and cucumber in a line across the center.
  9. Roll the sushi tightly using the mat, sealing the edge with a little water.
  10. Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces.
  11. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  12. Serve with wasabi and soy sauce.
